BA has grown in leaps and bounds as our reputation for outstanding academics and athletics has gained us popularity and prestige. We're also known for bringing large crowds to sporting events, earning the nickname “Brookhaven Nation” from our opponents. As alumni, you can take pride in the progress, the success, and the legacy of the “Brookhaven Nation.”
These are exciting times at Brookhaven Academy with many things taking place. Development remains visible as we strive to continue providing “a quality education in a Christian environment.”
- Some recent completed projects from 2015-2020 include:
- New Digital Marquee Sign in front of school
- New security fence installed between elementary & HS buildings
- New brick columns fence near elementary & the football field
- Upgrade to JH/HS Science Lab
- New trophy Case's in the gym lobby
- New classroom desks throughout JH/HS classrooms
- New Flooring in HS hallway
- The Jake Mills Media Classroom
- The addition of Smart Boards to all junior high and high school classrooms
- RenWeb and ParentAlert technology upgrades have made a tremendous impact on the communication with our parents and students (2013)
- The addition of a second cafeteria and a renovated kitchen facility.
- Upgrading of computer labs for elementary, junior high school and high school students.
- Security cameras and increased lighting in the parking lot.
- Playground upgrades
- Outdoor garden classroom is utilized by many classes across all grade levels.
- New wooden basketball gym floor
- 3 New School Buses
- 95 new computers installed
- Fresh paint applied to the school inside and out
- 3 New permanent kindergarten classrooms were built
All of these projects were completed thanks to the generosity of patrons and friends of Brookhaven Academy. There are, however, many projects that have not begun to take shape. The future is indeed a bright one at Brookhaven Academy.
We want to keep up with our alumni, no matter what your age or location may be. Whether you are a recent graduate or a member of the first graduating class, please take the time to fill out the Alumni Form. BA has extensions of the “Brookhaven Nation” all over the country. We are proud of each one of you and your accomplishments. If you have not visited campus in several years, we invite you drop in and see all the development that has taken place over the last few years. Together, we are one, we are strong. We are the “Brookhaven Nation!”
